If you're feeling hip and energetic, the place to be is without a doubt the Malecón boardwalk. A string of bars and nightclubs popular among Puerto Vallarta's twenty-something crowd run along the boardwalk and down the streets branching off of it. Drinking isn't too hard to do, as countless bars have two-for-one happy hour deals, colossal cocktails and locales that generally include a drink or two in the cover.
